In the role of Regional Surveyor, you will play a role in helping us continue to deliver on our ambitions, through leading on responsive and planned maintenance service delivery for with supported housing and self-contained accommodation in a designated region. Additional key responsibilities will include:

• Responsibilty for inspections of responsive and complex repairs, damp and mould.
• Supporting the delivery of capital and revenue reinvestment programmes and major projects, including cyclical maintenance programmes, refurbishment of acquired assets, onboarding new buildings, and managing termination dilapidations.
• Build strong relationships with our internal and external clients to deliver a high quality, customer focused service and with our supply chain partners to deliver on time and to budget whilst achieving quality work and value for money.

In this role you will travel to various site locations within our West London Region or our Southwest Regional (Bristol/Oxford/Milton Keynes) on a regular basis. Your office base will be either in LB Kensington & Chelsea (West London Region) or Hounslow (Southwest Region). Occasional travel to our Head Office, near St Katherine’s Dock will also be required. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities.

We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

We are looking for a skilled Surveyor with proven experience in management and delivery of responsive repairs, major works projects, and planned reinvestment programmes or cyclical maintenance programmes.

• You may hold an HNC/HND level qualification or higher in Building Surveying (or equivalent qualification) or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience.
• You will demonstrate the ability to deliver robust contract management that delivers on time and to budget, and your experience of large scale budget management and valuations.
• You may have some experience working in the social housing sector, which is beneficial but not essential.
• A full UK or equivalent driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

Property & Facilities Manager

Salary: £37,500pa (pro rata); Full time or part time (3 days)

We are seeking a Property & Facilities Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the properties of Richmond Team Ministry and their facilities. The properties include three churches, their associated church halls, vicarages, Parish Office and investment properties.

We are looking for someone with property and facilities management experience including managing small building projects and related finance and budgeting.  S/he needs to be able to work collaboratively as part of a small team and have the ability to take the initiative and develop the role while supporting the ethos of the Richmond Team Ministry.

Housing and Wellbeing Mentor

Lancashire Mind’s Tenancy Management Service works in partnership with several registered housing partners across Lancashire to manage a portfolio of properties on their behalf and provide tenancy support to people living with moderate mental health conditions.

We care about making a difference to people’s lives and through the provision of regular support, we work with each person to improve their mental wellbeing and build the confidence and skills to sustain their tenancy and move on to independent living.

We use an outcome-based approach, making sure that each person is involved in their own support planning from the start of their journey with us and achieve this by offering encouragement and one to one support to help each person to understand and manage their tenancy, develop social and daily living skills, gain access to essential services to manage their mental and physical health and help and guidance to maximise their benefits and improve their economic wellbeing.

Your new role

We are looking for a new Tenancy Management Worker to join our small and friendly team to manage a caseload of customers who have complex needs including mental health conditions, substance misuse, homelessness, and a possible history of offending.

Your job will be to work closely with these individuals to promote independent living and help them to achieve and sustain their tenancies. This is a challenging and varied job which is often rewarding, particularly when the people we have supported achieve their own goals and move on to build better lives.

What you will need to succeed

You will need experience of working with people with complex needs ideally in a supported or social housing setting and have the resilience to support people with a diverse range of mental health conditions to overcome barriers to independent living.

It is important that the right candidate is an excellent communicator, able to listen and understand people’s needs but also confident communicating and liaising with other local services and partner agencies to ensure each person has the right support in place.

An excellent working knowledge of safeguarding practices for protecting vulnerable people is also key to this role and the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate proven experience of this.

Ideally, an understanding of the issues which arise within the social housing sector or experience working in a similar role would be an advantage.

You will need to be a good team player, with the ability to work well with others and be able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision.

This is an essential car user role as it requires extensive travel to and from tenants’ properties in Lancashire.

ROLDA (Romanian League in Defence of Animals) is a small animal welfare charity working to improve the lives of dogs, cats, and other animals in Romania and internationally. Since its establishment in 2006, ROLDA has become a beacon of hope for the millions of vulnerable stray animals in Romania – one of Europe's economically poorest nations. Our mission is to manage the homeless animal population, estimated to be millions, through six key focuses: rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Within our shelters, inspired by British kennel design and maintained to meet EU animal welfare standards, we can house up to 700 stray dogs at a time. Here, they receive complete veterinary care, rehabilitation, and preparation for rehoming. Since 2006, we have helped over 48,000 animals (primarily dogs and cats) and built two shelters for dogs and one for disabled and senior cats. We also distribute support, primarily through small grants, to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We rehome mainly in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. In addition to our efforts in rescuing and rehoming animals, ROLDA tackles the root cause of Romania's homeless animals through comprehensive neutering programmes and educational initiatives. Since 2006, we have successfully neutered nearly 20,000 cats and dogs, significantly impacting Romania's severe overpopulation of animals.

Job Overview:

Key responsibilities

Programming & artistic relationships

• Devise and implement the artistic strategy and programme of the Philharmonia Orchestra in close consultation with the Chief Executive, Principal Conductor and Exec Team colleagues

• Act as primary liaison to the Principal Conductor and other titled artists, discussing and agreeing programmes and projects

• Engage guest conductors and soloists for all Philharmonia own-promoted performances and engagements, including fee negotiations

• Identify and lead opportunities for commissioning and co-commissioning of new works, negotiating commission fees and contracts. Liaison with publishers

• Negotiate co-promotion deals with external partners such as Serious or Southbank Centre

• Liaise with conductors and touring partners to develop programmes for foreign touring, while

  considering market and budget limitations

• Initiate and develop non-standard orchestral projects, such as film with live orchestra, cross-artform or cross-genre collaborations, and performances at non-standard venues

• Develop suitable programmes for Philharmonia Residency venues, taking both box office and logistical considerations into account

• Handle artist and conductor cancellations and identifying suitable replacements. Liaising internally with other departments over all cancellations

• Develop repertoire ideas and ensure timely registration on clash-diary, with support from Concerts Manager

• Lead on chamber music programming, including liaison with players over proposals

• Research and identify future featured artists, composers and guest conductors proactively

Internal & external communications

• Represent the artistic programming function to senior staff, promoters, agents, donors, Board members and volunteers

• Collaborate with the Learning and Engagement department to integrate the performance programme with educational projects in the planning stage, including Artist in Residence programme

• Collaborate with the Development Department on programmed-led fundraising activities

• Be in regular contact with Marketing colleagues as artistic plans consolidate and confirm. Advise on narrative and proof-read key documents

• Act as artistic liaison with external partners as required

Budgeting, rehearsal & instrumentation planning

• Work with the Concerts Director and Managers to create project and season activity budgets, accurately forecasting expenditure and advising on box office targets

• Oversee the planning of rehearsals by Concerts Managers, seeking advice from members of the orchestra as necessary

• Agree special instruments, and relevant additional fees

Principal liaison with Southbank Centre

• Lead on the day-to-day relationship with Southbank Centre, both in terms of strategy and date requests as principal point of contact

• Keep SBC colleagues updated on future artistic plans, specifically identifying future projects which may be of interest to Southbank Centre to collaborate on, on a co-promotion or engagement basis

Orchestra liaison

• Lead the Artistic Committee discussions re future plans, and ideas around conductors and soloists • Work with the Concerts Assistants and Data & Insight Manager to issue periodic conductor and soloist survey, using results to inform future programming
• Be in regular contact with key orchestral personnel over suitability of repertoire if rehearsal time is  severely limited

Recordings & digital

• Lead on Philharmonia Records, developing and overseeing the recordings strategy
• Identify, and plan potential own-label recording projects
• Listen to recordings to assess suitability for release, and discussing in-house recordings with Artistic Committee
• Work with Immersive Producer on programmatic aspects of digital projects • Identify projects which could be digital first from the outset

Other

• Work with the CEO and Exec team colleagues on developing future business plan and strategies built around the Orchestra’s new mission, vision and values

• As a member of the Exec team represent the Orchestra in key operational and strategic relationships, as required

• Attend performances at Southbank Centre and at venues out of London and overseas, as required, in order to monitor artistic performance and quality

• Excellent track record of working in artistic planning or artist management (min 7-10 years)

• First-class knowledge of orchestral repertoire and artists, as well as the work of the Philharmonia

We are embarking on an ambitious new direction at Habitat GB; leveraging our global housing expertise and the learning from our flagship national programme “Empty Spaces to Homes” to work collaboratively with Habitat colleagues across Europe in effecting change at a policy level.

“Empty Spaces to Homes” is a ground-breaking initiative focused on a circular buildings approach that already has a feasible proof of concept from piloting, with strong upscaling potential. The premise is simple; unlocking the potential of long term empty commercial spaces to create affordable housing for vulnerable people. As well as the social benefits of adding to affordable housing stock, the Empty Spaces to Homes approach of retrofitting existing structures – at a much lower carbon cost - offers a greener and more sustainable way to meet the housing gap, in comparison to the environmental impact of the new build construction industry. Breaking down long-standing barriers to resource-efficient renovation is essential if the UK is to play its part in meeting ambitious global decarbonisation targets.

Purpose of The role

The UK Housing Advocacy Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by leading advocacy efforts, shaping policies, and promoting sustainable housing solutions for affordable housing in Great Britain, particularly through our groundbreaking initiative "Empty Spaces to Homes."

As this is a new role, and is being recruited alongside the Head of Global Affairs and Advocacy, key responsibilities will include the establishment of a new function at Habitat GB.  It involves working closely with colleagues across the Habitat GB organisation and contributing to advocacy efforts across the Habitat network at global and regional levels through engagement, strategy and shared learning.  Key responsibilities also include developing communication and advocacy strategies targeting professionals and decision makers in social, environmental and housing sectors, as well as undertaking research and writing policy papers.

Main Responsibilities 

1) Research and Analysis:

• Commission and conduct in-depth research into current British housing landscapes and related legislation, assessing the effectiveness of mechanisms for converting unused premises into social housing and its environmental impact.
• Identify legal changes necessary to facilitate such activities and advocate for their implementation.

2) Lead Policy Advocacy Efforts:

• Utilise research findings to develop policy positions and identify priority issues, setting policy goals, and mapping out related advocacy activities.
• Embed critical concepts such as embodied carbon and whole life cycle into policy communications to amplify Habitat GB's messaging.

3) Partnerships and Networks:

• Join and represent Habitat GB at existing coalitions or form new coalitions if necessary with stakeholders in the social, environmental, and housing sectors to advocate for climate and equity-related incentives in national and local legislations, policies, and funding mechanisms.
• Build a network of relationships among key stakeholder groups and individual decision-makers to advance Habitat's policy goals.
• Identify strategic events and ensure speaking roles for Habitat GB.
• Represent Empty Spaces to Homes and Habitat for Humanity’s wider UK programmes for awareness raising, advocacy and other priorities at key meetings and events.

4) Direct Lobbying:

• Cultivate strategic relationships with key decision-makers to further Habitat's policy objectives.

Who we are

The School Food Review is a coalition of organisations spanning charities, educational organisations, caterers, unions and academics, committed to working together to improve children’s health by reforming the school food system. The group’s work is coordinated by founder members School Food Matters, Food Foundation, Bite Back 2030 and Chefs in Schools, and is supported by Impact on Urban Health.

The School Food Review has identified three areas of action required to deliver meaningful change – equitable access, fairer funding and quality assurance. Work across these three areas is delivered through focused working groups, drawing on members of the coalition. This includes public campaigning, advocacy and policy development.

About you and the role

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the work of our coalition, the School Food Review, to ensure that we are maximising the potential of the skills and expertise we can draw on from members, and driving meaningful impact. You will work closely with the School Food Review’s Operational Group, made up of key personnel from the founding organisations, to ensure that the coalition delivers on its mission. The Institutional Relations team is responsible for donor engagement and influencing, institutional funding, and partnerships in the UK. It comprises the Head of Institutional Relations, a Commercial Contracts Manager and three Programme Funding Officers.

As part of HI’s 2016-2025 strategy, we have ambitious targets for growth in institutional funding from UK donors, and more broadly, a focus on building strategic relationships with key UK donors and partners. The main purpose of this post is:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Promoting our work and building relationships with institutional donors

Supporting the work of the Head of Institutional Relations, you will have sound knowledge of the donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, and contribute proactively to influencing their funding strategies and priorities. Duties include:

· Maintain a good understanding of HI’s programmes, strategy and approach and communicate this externally.

· Identify and build relationships with a portfolio of large public and private institutional donors and their key suppliers (e.g. INGOs and for-profit development companies), mobilising colleagues from UK and across the global organisation as required.

· Work with country programmes to develop country-level action plans to engage with local representatives of UK donors and partners, in order to strengthen in-country relationships, influence donors’ country-level plans and access in-country funding opportunities. This will also involve supporting the development of multi-year operational plans and advise on the funding possibilities offered by UK institutional donors.

· Anticipate future trends and the expectations of the donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, influence their policies and strategies, and negotiate and consult with them on institutional funding matters, in liaison with the appropriate colleagues from the UK team and federal network.

· In coordination with the Head of Institutional Relations and the Chief Executive, monitor and where needed, contribute to collective work and advocacy initiatives in collaboration with partners and INGO networks (such as the Start Network and targeted Bond groups) with the aim of raising HI’s profile and influencing UK donors in line with our influencing priorities.

Generate and manage institutional funding from UK donors

You will follow and champion HI’s internal institutional funding procedures to identify and analyse funding opportunities from UK sources, contribute to project submissions, and carry out grant management duties. You will:

· Monitor, identify, analyse and communicate all relevant funding opportunities from donors in your portfolio (including development and humanitarian grant opportunities and commercial contracts). This will involve facilitating internal go/no go decision-making for new opportunities and advising, and supporting programme colleagues on positioning and consortium-building when relevant.

· Lead the review and analysis of the requirements in new funding agreements and contracts, advise internal stakeholders on compliance and ensure appropriate contract negotiation and due diligence processes are followed.

· Implement internal procedures for contract/grant management and support the submission of reporting and payment requests according to donor requirements.

Improve our track record for UK institutional funding

You will be responsible for increasing internal understanding of UK donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, supporting high quality strategic submissions and donor compliance. You will:

· Create internal communications, train and brief finance, programme and technical staff (including country programmes) on the donors in your portfolio, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to comply with donor rules, understand donor priorities and focus areas, and maximise the potential for funding.

· Support proposal development, advising on donor requirements, expectations and preferences.

· Build strong relationships and internal links with technical and programme teams and contribute to internal working groups on issues related to institutional funding.

Other duties

· Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues and the Federal Institutional Funding, and Operations teams.

Role Description

As Volunteer Programmes Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects in the Decorate A Child's Life (DACL) and Adventure Play Partnership (APP) volunteering programmes. Your role will include  managing the day-to-day operations for Volunteer Programmes, oversight of programme coordination,  reviewing and updating procedures on a rolling basis and keeping good records, including financial monitoring and collecting impact data for regular reporting. Delivered in our Manchester and Trafford women’s centres, these gender responsive activities, co-produced with women with lived experience, will provide personal and practical skill development that meets their needs and supports their aspirations around employment or education, including a focus on wellbeing and practical learning.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Co-ordinate and deliver a schedule of trauma informed and gender responsive workshops that aim to address wellbeing and reduce barriers women impacted by the CJS face in accessing employment or education opportunities.
2. Maintain case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders, such as lived experience groups, education, training and employment networks and local services.

On the Edge (OtE) is a London-based charity on a mission to emotionally reconnect people with nature through smart, entertaining, social-media-based storytelling. We are especially interested in reaching young people who do not engage with traditional nature content. On the Edge is also a science-based, grant-giving organisation that funds conservation projects around the world.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a programmes officer or manager with at least 1 years’ experience in conservation grant making. This role will facilitate the management of all conservation and storytelling grants awarded, as well as managing relationships, grant proposal development, budgets and impact measuring. This role will provide some opportunity to travel as part of our capacity building training programmes.

This is an exciting time for OtE as we have just launched a new grant approach. Our in-house programme will be the first of its kind and will rapidly increase conservation attention towards EDGE species and zones. The programmes officer/manager will play a key role in the development and expansion of this grant approach.

Responsibilities:

• Contributes to the development and implementation of the grant programme’s strategy

• Supports the development and management of our grant portfolio, including researching new granting opportunities in line with the strategic directions (especially grassroots and national level actors), scoping and developing proposals with prospective grantees.

• Supports grantees through our funding model which may include coordinated activities with grantees and capacity building, developing systems for and overseeing grantee reporting, and conducts the monitoring and evaluation of grants against our impact framework, which may include site visits.

As well as being a confident project manager, you’ll need to be a strong communicator to engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure our campaigns hit deadlines and deliver targets.

Understanding your budgets and campaign performance is also a vital part of this role as you’ll play an important part in budget development and management. Our programme is always focussed on further developing and growing our supporter engagement and financial support, so this role requires strong knowledge of audience segmentation, planning in a supporter-centric way and campaign KPIs. It’s also important to understand how we’re compliant and working within all regulations and as well as best practise processes.

Specialism: This role will primarily lead in our engagement and ongoing development of our regular giving programme. (This includes products like Poppy Supporter as well as other forms of regular donations.)

You will be contracted to our London Hub, Haig House. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.

The Role:

Fundraising at Julian House is stepping into its next phase of growth, and we are looking for a strategic and innovative Senior Fundraising Manager to lead the team to new heights.

Fundraising generates vital income for the charity, helping us to provide life-changing and life-saving support for vulnerable people across the South West. We are looking for someone who can grow income across a range of streams in support of this mission, with a focus on regular giving, major donors, corporate partnerships, and legacies.

You will be leading a small team of committed, creative fundraisers, with the autonomy to establish new work streams from scratch and develop your team to help you deliver ambitious strategies and campaigns.

This is an exciting time to be joining Julian House, as the charity seeks to establish itself as a significant, force for tackling social exclusion across the South West. The Senior Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in this by developing new, high-impact relationships with individuals, businesses and trusts which generate meaningful income for the charity.

Responsibilities include: 

• Managing our wide-ranging fundraising portfolio, working with your team to maintain our existing supporter base and recruit new supporters for Julian House from across the South West.
• Working with the Fundraising and Marketing Director to develop new strategies for growth from regular givers, major donors, legacies, and corporate partnerships.
• Working with your team to bring new strategies to life, upskilling them to deliver as required.  
• Building and stewarding relationships with high-value supporters (individuals, corporates and trusts) to secure sustainable income.
• Creating and delivering inspiring annual fundraising appeals with your team which generate substantial income for the charity.
• Overseeing a calendar of fundraising events and community engagement in our Bath heartlands.
• Ensuring that the Donorfy CRM system is being used to its full potential to track performance of fundraising; target campaigns according to supporter profile; and report on the data we capture to shape current and future activity.

Qualifications / Requirements: 

• Significant knowledge and experience of a wide range of fundraising; with a demonstrable track record of growing income in at least two of our fundraising growth areas: legacies, major donors, corporate partnerships or regular givers.
• Experience of leading and implementing strategies, including setting and overseeing strategic projects led by others.
• Experience of using CRM systems to their full potential, interpreting donor data, analysing findings and making decisions based on your analysis. Knowledge and experience of the Donorfy platform is desirable, but not essential. 
• Knowledge of the homelessness or social inclusion sectors would be desirable, but not essential.
